1987 Suzuki LT80 goes full throttle when I start it up
#1
Hey I'm new here. I've been trying to fix a 1987 Suzuki LT80 I bought. I took it all apart and replaced most of the gasket, got new air filter, took a mouse nest out of the clutch area:(, took carb apart and tried cleaning most of it. Put it all back together and started it, and it took of going full throttle and I wasn't touching the throttle, it shut off by its self after a couple seconds. I don't know whats wrong with it. I need help please, any suggestions.
Thanks

Is the barrel where the fuel and air goes in or is it where the throttle cable goes in. Does the card have to be off to see the notch. Don't know where carb slide is. Got pictures, they would probably help alot. I'm not much of a mechanic but I can follow instructions. Thanks for your post.

Hey LT80
I figured out what the barrel is and I got it lined up (the barrel is where the throttle cable goes in the carb, right?. Is the barrel supposed to be able to line up 2 different way because it will go in 2 ways.

I pulled on the throttle cable and it slipped so it must have been pinched. I started up the four wheeler and it doesn't take off full throttle anymore
. But I have to keep touching the throttle to keep it running and when I push it full throttle it bogs down and shuts off.
