Is it worth spending $150 on the GYT swingarm skid or should I just buy a cheaper aftermarket one?

raptor826,

I had the GYT-R (actually, about everything GYT-R offers) and I thought they were really nice. Do you NEED the G over a cheaper brand? No. Will the G be better quality and look nicer? Yes.

There's pictures of the skids on my picture page...

raptor826, There is no way that the Gyrt skid is better than the PRM I'd bet anything on it. Prm looks at least as good and I know holds up better than any other brand. Do it right the first time and go with PRM.

I don't know about that xtreme165 I got an Armadillo and it is thick as H*LL! .250 all the other ones I've seen are .190. Good welds, finish and for the price can't beat it!!

The GYT-R skid is of much better quality and design than the PRM. I, too, looked around but could not fault the Yamaha Factory skid. Just wish it was cheaper.

I have to agree with extreme165 I have seen ; used ; even made my own skid plates but the PRM swingarm-skid is the best I've ever seen.
