Default yamaha timberwolf carburetor problem

I'm working on a 4WD timberwolf for a friend of mine that I was told had carburetor issues. The carb has apparently been worked on before and I'm not sure it was put back together correctly the last time it was worked on. I ordered a carb rebuild kit and there are parts in the kit that weren't in the carb when i took it apart. One of them is a plastic washer about the size of a #2 pencil eraser. Anyone have an idea of where that washer goes or a website with detailed pictures. The diagrams that i have found are too vague to get any thing out of.

If i remember correctly there is a little plastic washer that sits inside the black piece that moves up and down in the carb. You have the e clip to set the needle height and i think there is a little plastic washer right at the bottom of that piece that the e clip rests on.

So you think it goes on top of the slide underneath the c clip? thanks, i'll check that out. i have ordered a clymer service manual hoping there are some good pictures in there of the carb disassembled.
