Default Grizzly belt drive

Is there a way to protect the belt drive because mine has slipped and started smoking several times recently going through a creek on the farm.

Something is not right. Grizz's have one of the best tranny's in the industry and should be able to push 27 without issue. I know tones of guys doing it without any problems. If you want more info on it that guys might have a better answer for you! My 09 has been running flawlessly now for almost 2000 miles.

You probably got some snow in the belt housing, if the belt gets wet it will slip and burn it. The grizzly has a pretty good spot for the intake side of the belt drive, you may chack for any cracks or holes in the casing or the intake itself.

X2 on the belt getting wet or snow being sucked in through the cvt intake. If your really worried or it keeps happening pull the belt cover and have a look at it,you can also measure belt width and check the cover gasket for damage/leaks. Theres alot of how to on you tube and some other grizzly forums.
