1985 Moto 4 200cc
#1
Just picked up a 1985 Moto 4 for ice fishing. The top-end was just rebuilt and runs great. When I bought it the seller said that the battery was dead it would try to kick the motor over with the electric start but it didn't have enough power to get it started. So since it has a pull start no major worries and I purchased it.
Brought it home Friday night and picked up a new battery Saturday morning. Hooked up the new battery hit the start button and heard the starter spin but didn't turn the motor over. This lasted for a couple seconds and then everything went dead, no neutral light. So I started searching for a fuse and found one on the right side of the frame next to what looks like some type of a relay. Changed out the fuse and back comes the neutral light, just because I tried it again and same thing. Replaced the fuse and it fires right up with the pull start but it appears that I have an issue with maybe the starter?
Let me know what you guys think it might be or if this is a common problem? Is the starter easy to change out? Thanks for the help!
