hi guuys i just want a settle a little argument between me and my friend. which quad is faster a banshee or a 400 ex or in a drag i think the banshee will win butin a long race like 300 yds i think the 400 ex will take it tanx for the replies.

 

In a short or long "drag race", without question the BANSHEE!!!

I don't know bout a short drag race, but if both are stock and topped out in top gears, the banshee would have beat the ex in a drag race. It's top speed is faster too. think about, twin cylinder 2 stroke 350 VS air cooled 400 4-stroke. In theroy, the banshee should mutelate the ex, but in reality, they aren't too far apart. the ex would probably beat the 350 racing motocross and woods with corners. both good machines, made for different purposes.

 

I have read to drag races between a DS650 and Raptor against a stock Banshee.Both mags were amazed that the Banshee only gave up a few quad lenghts through out the entire drag race.If a 400ex was in the same situation it would be a dozen quad lenghts back because a staight drag race is not the place for the EX to show off it's controllable power.

Why wait til April?

 

There are many things that the 400ex can do better than the banshee. Drag racing isn't one of them. My friend has a stock banshee and I have a stock 400ex. We have raced a few times and he always wins. If we start from a dead stop sometimes I can get the holeshot and pull ahead for a couple seconds(if I can keep my front end down). If it is a rolling start the banshee will pull away quickly and leave you eating dust. I hope he never puts a set of pipes on that thing. That would really make me look bad. The good news is that the 400 can make the banshee look equally as bad in the woods. Just watch out for those raptors..hehe

 

well i have 400ex and my brother has a banshee and i can beat him in a short drag race most of the time. but if we get going he will go around me.

 

Stock for stock the Banshee wins hands down. That 2-stroke monster screams past by all Hondas, including the 250r...!!!!
