Default Carb or something else?!?!?

2004 700 idles like a kitten but when I get on it(put a load on it), it falls on its face. You can put it in neutral and it revs good, but when getting on it hard or going up hill, it bogs down. Plugged jet? Timing? Plug? Wire?....

Thanks,
David

Is it something that just happened out of nowhere? Was it sitting for any length of time?

Well, honestly, I rolled it (broke ribs) and put it up. Rode it from shed to garage a couple of times, then we went out riding saturday. After about 2 hours of riding, it happened all at once. Im thinking trash in carb because while jacking with it on the trail, it got a lil better.

No, it hasnt sat for more than a week. Fresh gas also....wondering if when i rolled it, it picked up some trash from tank. Filter was clean tho

Ouch on the rolling! you should def start by cleaning the carburetor sounds like its a little dirty also if you have a service manual for it you should check the float height but your prob sounds more like a dirty carb to me.

Trash in the carb is definitely what I would look for. If no trash is in there, look into get a new needle and seat. My 700 has done that as well. I rolled it, and it started dying on me.

take some carb cleaner and spray intake boot between carb and motor, have to take side cover off, if idle changes when you spray it the boot is cracked and suckin air, alot of these bikes do this

There was also a recall on the breather tube that runs from the airbox to the crancase beather on the engine, the original has a filter on it that gets condensation in it and freezes and cracks, making it suck air, the replacement has no fiter, polaris gave me one free for my 03-700, had symtoms like yours

Really????? Does it run on top of the engine and look like a big fuel filter?
