hey guys, what are some upgrades that i can do to my 2002 DS650 that wont leave me penniless but will up the performance?

 

Aftermarket air filter and CDI. Those are the most common.

 

ok. can you tell the difference after you put them on? and what CDIs are the best for DSs

 

Go with a Vortex or a Ron Wood. Stay away from Procomm. Eliminate the airbox and put on a K&N. From there shop around for a Lectron 46hv carb.Best mod I did to my DS when it was all stock. Also look into a complete exhaust system too.

 

Ok thanks. I'll look into it. I was also thinking of getting a new Sidewinder Sprocket and chain kit because my chain and front sprocket are wore out. should I change the gearing at all or just stay at stock sizes?

 

Ya,get the sidewinder TI-moly kit, I went 14 in the front cause I raced the hill every chance I got, LOL, but a 15 will do. There are guys on here that will tell ya its junk, but I had good luck with mine.
