recently bought a 300 and had a guy work on it which ended up being a mistake. i git it back in pieces. Need help putting the top end bac together. Does anyone have any advice on putting the cam back in correctly?

 

the cam lobe should be faceing down and the 2 lines on the outside of cam should be level with the flat surface of the cam cover and make sure your piston is all the way at the top first. remove the inspection plug and make sure the line on the flywheel and the line on the crankcase line up. when they line up the piston should be at tpo dead center.

 

ended up needing a timing chain but cant figure out how to get the flywheel off....any suggestions?

 

take the rewind side of the crankcase off and take in to your dealer and they should pull it of for you for a fee or else order the tools it is way cheaper to pay the dealer.
