please can any one help me with info on the honda fourtrax 300 the cdi has 10 pins i tried to add a pic of the cdi but call me slow thank you.

Hi Pierre. No, your posts are coming through. Maybe nobody has a schematic for that quad. I don't. I can tell you one thing about CDI's though. There is no way to check them to see if they sre good or bad. The only thing you can do is check everything else and if everything else is good and still no spark, or weak spark, it's a bad CDI.

 

if i crank the engine, i do get a signal from the cdi if i remove the terminals from the coil, but when i put them back on there is no signal and then the cdi starts heating up. i have tested the coil separately and it seems that the coil is shorted , but so does a borrowed coil and both coils does not give a spark when tested separately. funny thing is that the borrowed coil is said to be fine. any ideas? thanks.
