Post 2008 SP 800 Just up and quit

I just wanted to let you all know about this in case it happens to you.
Gonna keep it short and sweet.

The quad just shut off...still cranked fine and everthing lit up, but wouldn't even try to fire.

After the dealer had it for a while(warranty work) they finally tried what i had been suggesting all along,(After they tried coil, ecm, wiring harness, fuses, fuse block, kill switch....) The crank sensor.

low and behold, BINGO!!!

It showed no codes whatsoever. According to the ECM, everything was fine.

Never even heard of a crank sensor. Seem to be to much sensors on these things now.

Sensor mounted at lower left side in recoil housing, never had to replace one,but had several that we had to repair wires that wore against starter(weren't tied up properly and rubbed until wire would short out against starter) Just one little worn spot gave us problems, would run and die, untill we finally found the problem!
