Default fan not turning on

today i rode my '05 ds650x not to hard averaging 3rd or 4th gear. came home shut her down and started to adjust my wheel alignment.

about 20 mins later i started it and the alignment was still off so i would stop and adjust it with it idling then drive it to test the alignment, i was doing that for about 10 mins (STILL NOT RIGHT) and the last time i was adjusting it i noticed antifreeze coming out of the over fill and my fan was on !

i drove about 100ft (i was at the end of my driveway) back to the house and shut her down and the rad was "gurgling".

the oil/temp light was not on, the fuse to the fan is fine, i hot wired the fan from the wires that go to the sensor on the thermostat and the fan turned on. would this mean that it would be the sensor that goes into the thermostat housing that is messed up? is there any way to test the sensor?

any ideas would help at this point

i figured it out, everything is working its just the terminals that go on the sensor in the thermostat housing are messed up, i need pliers to take them off but when they are on i have to wiggle them in order for the fan to come on. i pinched them with a pain of pliers and still the same results...

also if i touch the one terminal (inside one) the fan will turn on. If i touch the other (outside one) or both at the same time the fan will shut off

Default Engine Ice

Since I switched to engine ice my fans comes on a lot less. Runs about 10 - 20 degrees cooler with it.

I would wire it to a toggle switch because that sensor is known to go out.
