Rwr cdi vs big gun cdi
#1
Hi guys its been a long time since ive been on here. So recently i got a bargain on a rwr cdi on ebay (50$) it works fine. i have been riding with a big gun cdi for a while and iam quite happy with it but since the rwr cdi was such a steal i picked it up and now im stuck with 2 cdis. well i do alot of trail riding in gorman ca. and was wondering wich cdi would be the best for me? i know the rwr has no rev limiter but geez i should know when to shift lol. anyways im eager to find out wich cdi has better low end power and wich has better high end power. otherwise what is better for my style of riding? i usually come out of turns and just gun it!!! any help or suggestions would be awesome. thanks! bike has 15 tooth front sprocket pro circuit exhaust k&n filter with no lid 23s up front 22s in the rear and was dyno tuned over at ct racing. Runs great!!!!keeps up with my buddys trx700xx.

I have used both, and to be honest I really did not notice a difference between them.
Both start well for me and on my mild build the Big Gun has a high enough rev limiter that I almost never hit it.
I think the RWR and or the adjustable CDIs come into their own when you have a motor built to spin higher than the BG rev limit.
