How to clean gas tank

Default How to clean gas tank

Anybody know what the best way to clean rust out of gas tank off a 3 wheeler?

take it to a radiator shop and have them clean it and line the inside of it

That is a good idea, hopefullly they dont charge to much, I will check, Thanks again,

A couple handfuls or rocks shaken around in it and a quart of redcoat works good too.

I've used the rocks before but I followed up with "Kreem". It's a 3 part kit that acid etches the tank, conditions the tank, and then coats it with a permanent layer of protection. I did a 30 year old Johnson Skee Horse fuel tank this way and I had many more years of service without any problems.

This sounds like a great way to go.
