Default Install rear bearings

Bikes been apart in the back yard for 3 weeks now as I waited for parts. Now Ive got questions for assembly!

Do I install the outer races in the carrier first, then install inner/bearins on axle, then slide axle into carrier?
I dont want to force races and then have to remove them and possibly damage...
Thanks!

P.S Any other how-to's, tips hints etc are welcomed!

Wheel bearings are grooved ball bearings with seals so it is one set. (not like tapered roller bearings where outer race comes off and inner holds the bearings and cage).

Correctly done use the press and press from outer race itself. When ever I don't access to press, I have also used punch and hammer, tapping gently around the outer race, it slowly goes in.

With new bearing, never ever use force through "other" race so the force goes through the bearing, e.g. press the inner race to install outer race.

Taking off old bearing, the method doesn't matter as long as you don't damage the actual housing, few times I had to tore it apart and use grinder to split the outer race half to get it off.

These are tapered roller bearings. I put carrier in oven for few mins and the outer races in freezer, they went in fairly easy. This morning I got bearings on axle and carrier on and just came home for lunch and got assembly back in the swing-arm. I will re-assemble sprocket, rotor, nuts washer etc after work if I can remember the correct order of things!!

Ive got it all back together but having one issue:
Cant get the caliper mounted, I can get one bolt in but the other wont line up and the body is touching the swing arm... The bracket only goes on one way. Here are some pictures for reference...

Looks very familiar. I think I ran into that once. It eventually went together but I don't remember what the problem at the time was...

Ya, I don't get it. Only thing I can come up with is maybe I put the carrier in the swing arm 180* off? Not sure if it can only go in one way or not?

How about the mount (red arrow)? Can it be flipped around? (I don't mean caliber mounts to swing arm, I mean the face pointing rearwards would be flipped to point forward).

Either way, there is something off as the caliber is touching the swing arm (the blue arrow)

You need to take it all apart and flip the part that has the red arrow on it. You need to slide it completely off the axle flip it and put it back on.
