Attention Ruby owners. My Rubicon died when I tried to go through water that wasn't much over my tires, I did go fast through it but it just totally died. After being towed back the Honda dealer had to replace the computer. Has this happened to anyone else? I did notice that when I hit this same hole a couple of times before it died that the spedo & display panel would go out for a while. The dealer thinks this could of been because of the water crossing. This isn't my first problem but definetely the most serious.

Your problem was most likely some electrical short. I have had mine in water above the gas tank almost every weekend. Check out my pics.

I haven't had mine out much but the times I have there's been plenty of mud and water to play in and I never had any problems. I haven't had mine in water up to the gas tank though.......

Hey guys, I just noticed that on my rubi the bottom of the front tires are out further than the top. maybe a inch or so, but defently not as squair as the rear are. Is this normal
HOsoulman: THis is the first honda made in the United states, so are you saying that we suck? Hate to say it but the few slight bugs appear to be OUR fault as every XR I have bought has always been perfect.

Not to mention any names,HO, but some people seem to only come to the forums to bash others, and I for one am getting tired of it. If you don't have anything useful to say, please keep it to yourself!

Thanks Guys. I just wanted you to know about my problem, is there a computer on my Rubicon? That is what the dealer said got wet and caused my Ruby to quit. He also said the he has heard of this problem before. Aparently this is the second time he had to change a computer.

Yes the Rubicon's do have a computer. They even store error codes that you can retreive and diagnose. I have not heard of any being replaced until now. Most new models of quads have some sort of computer on them. Some of them more sophisticated than others.
