Raptor a-arms
#1
I am thinking about installing longer a-arms on my raptor to help eliminate the narrow, tilly feeling. I will also be installing a wider axle. will 2" per side be enough? What about moving the front wheels forward. It makes the wheelbase longer, does it hold the front end down a bit? or slow the handling?

I have installed LSR +3 a-arms and +5 axle to bring the quad out to 50in front and back. I can tell a difference in handling. The weight of the chromoly arms are designed for racing and is much stronger than stock but also heavier feeling when jerking around the front end. But when you hit the corners it sticks.
The extra weight also helps with the front staying down as an added benefit. If you buy adjustable you can set it up however aggressive you ride.
You can go two ways the way I see it. You can go +3 and use standard offset wheels or go +2 and use offset wheels to get to 50in. I would have liked to know how a ZPS shock and offset wheel setup with the stock arms on the front would work with a wider axle on the back. I bet it would be a good setup for the Raptor and keep the handling light for good woods riding as well as MX.
But for racing I don't see how the front arms will hold up since the top is aluminum.

I have seen pic sof your Bike Kyraptor and it s looks like its real wide..i like that....what do think about wheel spacers? I want to make my bike wider as well. If you wideen the front end with a arms do you have to buy new shocks? How much was your whole set-up with the axles and a arms?
Thanks
