Did you guys see that topic in the Honda forum saying that a nearly stock 400EX beat a Raptor in a drag? Basically it was a piped EX and they were claiming that it would take the Raptor every time. Also there were several more accounts of 400EX's and some 416EX's that are all blowing away Raptors and Banshee's. The worst part was there weren't many people disagreeing by saying what a bunch of BS that is. Everyone just kept giving more examples. There were new people coming in and saying "Wow, I never knew that the 400EX was that fast". The general consensus was that the 400EX isn't much slower than the Raptor. Am I the only one that thinks thats rediculous?? I mean I ride with an EX and I just dont see it being close in the speed department.

Thats cool though. Just wait till you put a real rider on that thing. They'll be spending most of their time looking at that pretty little tail light............

hehe.
The Honda blinding is fun. Me and Xplor are trying to find an arrogant 400ex and dust him bad.
I haven't even looked that thread. It's pathetic.

I'm a "honda guy" and i read that and i have the same question as you. i have ridden both and until the shee hit the light switch in the power band the ex may have it but after that the ex will be breathing in 2stroke blue smoke. there's no way that a stock 400ex could take a shee of any kind past 20mph end of story. on a mx course it may be a better story for the ex but not on the drag strip.

Atta boys take the high rode --- don't fall down and get in the rut with talkers. Only thing that counts is rubber to pavement. I can stand talkers and baostful people. I got a boat load of ponies ready for anyone this spring and its Yammi blue and its called a raptor - come get some is my motto. Be cool, be fast, be quiet!!!

Yes it is true I did see a stock 400ex beat a raptor, but if both quads were ridin at full potensial the raptor would easily smoke him.

I have a 400ex also, and my buddy has a 2000 Shee, I can get the holeshot, and lead him through the first two gears and half of 3rd gear! After that it is LIGHTS OUT! The Shee is the definate winner.

My Raptor lost one time to a 400EX, as did everything else at Dumont that weekend. It was a Curtis Sparks 485 on alky. As for stock or piped EX's not even close.
