Default 2012 Sportsman X2 850 EPS.......poof!!!

Absolutely disappointed in the 2012 Polaris lineup.....on the X2 side. I've been waiting for an X2 850 with EPS. The 2010 X2 had the 550 and two colors....and the 2011 X2 had a choice of the 550 and 850 motors and three colors......OK, on the right track to have the 2012 X2's with EPS....Yahooo!.....and then "whoa boy"!!!! Not even close. Let's watch Polaris walk backward. Now for 2012 it's back to two colors and the one choice of the 550 engine......and still no EPS. I thought the EPS would be a natural for the X2. In my book, the 2012 Polaris Sportsman X2 WITHOUT the EPS is NOT the world's most versatile ATV as claimed by Polaris Industries. If Polaris would pay attention to this forum alone, it would benefit their insight for our product wishes.....at least they could of made a couple of special 850 X2's with EPS for me and Moose. I wish I could say how I really feel......NoJoke

Thanks for sticking up for me, NoJoke. I'll have to look at the "new" lineup. They did pretty good with my ideas for the 6x6 a year ago. Other than, I still think they should make a 6x6 with an X2 type seat. It's not like adding EPS to the X2 would cost them much as it's the same frame up front as the other XP quads. Oh well....

Maybe not enough old married people ride to make it profitable for Polaris to build a 2 up with EPS but last week on vacation riding in southern Colorado mountains 2 groups we talked to had older men with their wifes wanting to know all about the Polaris EPS and our 2 up 850. I had to explain ours was not built as a 2 up and not the safest way to go on a steep hill. We always see older couples riding double on trails and with a few health problems that go with age the EPS is great, then add the power of the 850 and extra room.

It looks to me like Polaris is targeting the middle aged guy... They are so focused on the XP850 and that seems to be it! Lacking change in other models like the scramy and value line... No EBS on the 400, BNG's on the value line, and the discontinue of the outlaw!!! Come on! I feel like they need to listen to the customers a little more... I was excited to see the RzR 4 XP 900... But then I was let down
