Talking 1999 kaw praire 300 limp mode

How would someone go about getting my 1999 300 prairie out of limp mode I don't see any links for this year unless other years will work? Please let me know as I am hoping to go on a run here in the next few weeks.
Thank you and keep riding my friends.

I've never heard about 99 Prairie having a limp home mode feature.
What's your top speed when your quad is in that limp home mode (just by guessing)?
Would it rev up fine when in neutral?

Post thank you for replying

The wheeler will not move at all. will rev-up in neutral. over the weekend we noticed the manifold pipe was lose on the ride so we started back to camp and we had rather large hill to clime to get back and half way up the hill it lost all power. I have not looked at the belt yet. the manifold gasket is ban and have got the new one but have not in stalled it yet. I hope this helps you with my question.

If engine revs up fine in neutral, then your quad is NOT in limp mode. And your qaud doesn't have that feature anyway. The limp mode featured started on 2002 650 Prairies...

As you guessed, the first thing I would check is the CVT belt condition & deflection.

Well we are still having trouble weather it is in neutral or reverse and even forward gear it idols fine. But as soon as you give it gas its like it cuts out no power nothing. Just wants to shut down but will idol as soon as you take your thumb off the gas. I have replaced the drive belt, changed the oil cleaned the air filter. And even pumped up the tires LOL. And so far nothing has worked any ideas would be help full. Thanks

Have u checked the screens in the tank. You have to remove the shut off valve to do this. My 400 Prairie acted the same as yours, and that was my problem(dirty). Hope this helps. NorminN.B.
