New type of question: What DON'T you like about your DS650??

Most ask what quad to get and what's faster, what jumps the best, how many horse-power, bla bla bla... I would rather know what you dislike about your DS650
I definately want one and have wanted one from day one but want to hear from "owners" what they really think could be better or what are the "must have mods".
Thanks!

The thing I didnt LOVE about my stock ds was the rev limiter in the first few gears seemed to hit kindof early. An aftermarket silencer or endcap (encap 50$ or so) seemed to take care of alot of that problem. The weight is not an issue to me, because i'm not scared of it like some other people are

I thought it should have had more power in the low end, a good pipe fixs that, the only time the weight is an issue is when you have to lift/drag it around. I'm putting on Timmy Boy A arms to fix darty steering/bumpsteer, I think the later models have different toe in and stiffer springs on the front that helps this.

Chain Roller! I've been through 3 of them. A friend of mine now makes them out of a more durable plastic with roller bearings on the inside. I'm hoping that that will be the last one I need.
The most important mod that I feel you need, is an ignition box[CDI] that raises the rev limiter. It makes a world of difference, even if you do nothing else. It lets you use more of the power that you already have.

I love my DS. It's a completely awsome bike. The one and only thing I've had a problem with is the chain roller. The chain and preload wasn't adjusted and I ate mine on the first ride. I fixed it with a stake board wheel with two bearings on each side, which by the way works great. Other than that one little problem it's been an absolute blast to ride.

I bought mine used, the guy whom owned before me never had or rode a quad before and he rolled it. I think Bombardier could have done a better job on making a more durable head lamp assembly. A new on will cost $120. The U bracket that holds the insttrument panel serves as the upper head lamp mount aswell. That bracket bends very easily. That could be improved too. Other than that I love my DS and would only trade it in for a newer one.

The chain roller is a problem but can be fixed with a skateboard wheel. The stock CDI box is weak buy a after market one, I have the Ron Woods. The motor in mine blew after 20 hours with no explaination "the shop has no clue why it blew" and "Bombardier doesn't care why". This happened 2 months out of warranty. The cost was $3,000. Bombardier customer service in my opinion in a word "sucks". Other than these problems I love this bike and from what I hear from others that own the Raptor, the DS650 has less problems. With a after market CDI box and pipe its a whole new bike. Oh and reverse would be GREAT.

I recently sold my DS.Things i didnt like were:to heavy and bulky compared to the other hi perf quads, it threw the chain all the time, couldnt wheelie easily due too lack of low and mid range power and its bulky weight, wasnt that good through the whoops, motor sputtered alot, especially from landing off jumps, and i thought the throttle response was sluggish.Im happy i got rid of it,I will be gettin my Raptor soon,I thank those Raptor owners for showing me what a hi perf quad should be.

soften up suspension, it will go through woops faster and as fast as the top pro machines. The 00 carberator had a few issues and would cut out over whops and jumps, but the new ones dont. Large float bowl. Learn to use the weight as an advantage. Hey i respect your opinion, but i'm just voicing mine also
