well i exclusively use pro flow on all my machines. and they have never let me down once, and i do alot of sand riding and we all know that sand is very hard to filter out cause the size of it...everywhere from local sand areas to glamis and have never been let down. and yamaha is known for crappy air boxes..so i suggest the pro flow kit!!

I installed a pro-design filter on mine, works well. Personal opinion, throw away o-ring and use black silicone to seal adaptor. Breather vent, your dealer should have killer aftermarket crank breathers. Or do like i did, go to a vw hotrod shop and get an empi breather and go to the hardware store and get a 1/2 x 1/2 barbed connector, and just slip it on the hose.
