Have you checked the fuses, plus has a thermal circuit breaker that could be a problem?? Circuit breaker should be up the harness from the fuse block! Also have found shorts in the fuse block wiring on a couple machines. Plus welcome to the forum! OPT

sorry, pdm? I have checked everything involving the wiring and fuses/breakers associated with the fan. I finally traced a gnd wire and a hot/control wire to the ecm. before I spent the money for one I was checking to see if someone had this problem and if I missed something.

On your model its called an ECU in the parts breakdown (Polaris seems to use ecm and ecu back and forth on different models?) There has been an updated ecu, part number 4011560 which replaces the old 4011109 number. Usually part number changes are because of problems! Cheapest I've found is at Cycle Parts Warehouse for $354! If you are sure you've traced the problem, then order it,if not,I would pay the dealer to hook up to Digital Wrench to isolate the problem! They could save you money if they find something simple or at least confirm your guess! Hard to really make sure on the efi machines without hooking them up to a computer now,the old shade tree is getting smaller and smaller for the home tech! OPT

Its a Government safety recall with no time limit. There are guys who had it done on this site 6 years after the fact.
