My honda 350 rancher is sputtering and stuff the battery is starting to go dead when I just put one in it

you might check to see what voltage the stator is putting out, the voltage regulator may have gone bad on you. I'd just use a multimeter and see if it's putting out 13 volts or better and doesn't change erratically with throttle.
