It's not the new DS I wanted, but a LT500 Quadracer. Justed wanted to say thanks for all the help, and when I do get a brand new quad, it'll definetly be the DS.....

fasternu,
When you shave the head does it have the same effect as boring it(increase cc).

Would you have to get a "stronger" piston and would you have to modify anything else?

ERICsRAPTOR, I think the only way to increase displacement is by boring (increasing cylinder diameter) and/or stroking (increasing crankcase stroke length).

Shaving the head decreases the volume of the combustion chamber, raising compression ratio (boring and stroking raise compression ratio also; a larger volume is compressed to the volume of the existing combustion chamber).

You'd just have to be careful if you put in a real "radical" cam in your fourstroke when shaving your head, cuz a valve may kisss your piston.
