im geting a gear reduction for my honda 420 ( thanks for the advice tlc) i have 28" EDLs on c-locks should i change out my axels as well if so which ones should i get. Also iv seen some quads with what seems to be a smoke stack i would think u would lose power doin that, the only reason i would think u would do that is for deep mud or water

 

I've seen a few straight pipe stacks. And hmf has utility series pipes with slip on stacks
It'd help you power wise. But you'd need carb tune/ rejet

 

A lot of guys that run deep mud and water will put snorkels on the intake and exhaust to keep the water out. I've only had my 450 in deep enough one time to blow bubbles with the exhaust, and it took big bore 4x4's to get it out of that hole.
