My 15 year son old rides a CR125. Stock from the factory the suspension is set up for 160 to 170 pounds I believe. It would fit you well and it's a nice and very reliable bike. He jumps 40 foot jumps with it pretty easily.

Yeah you will be able to ride a CR125R. I was wanting a CR125R but since its a 2-stroke Motocross bike you will have to pay about $150 about every 3 to 4 months for a Topend job and I didn't really need a 125 for what I was going to be riding. I like Motorcycles but I think I am going to go with either a 2001 or 2002 Honda Fourtrax Rancher 2x4 ES. Good luck with your choice and remember that whatever you do that you just ride safe and have fun. Matt

Quads and dirtbikes are sooooooooooo different!!!
On a quad, I want a big and powerful engine. On a dirtbike...I had more fun riding a 250XT dual sport (250cc single 4 stroke, 0.02hp
) than a 400YZF. The xt felt so lightweight, you could literally throw it in the curves (and having tons of fun).
That's why if I get a dirtbike again, I'll get a 125. Don't worry for size and weight, they will fit you...the contrary is a problem. If you're a dwarf and weight 2-1/2 lbs, I wouldn't recomend a 500CR
.
And you'll be like me, laugh when people say they jumped a 100 foot tabletop...I used to jump that every ride on my 91 125kx when I was 15. Dirtbikes just jump incredibly better than quads.
And you don't need to any aftermarket acce$$ories in order to get a nice tough bike. Right of the box and jumping 100 feet jumps. Who would do it on a stock quad? not me!!
The 125 will fit you, and I think you might have more fun thanks to its agility.

Oh yeah, it's much more fastest (no mispelling there) than a 400ex.
Suspensions of dirtbikes are a dream, engines are screamers...wow.
