raptor 660 wont go into gear

Talking raptor 660 wont go into gear

i have a 2001 yamaha 660 raptor that wont go into any gear i hear clickin like goin through gears but the beast wont move jus revs up could it be the countershaft sproket and if so how do i access it any and all help would be appreciated cant afford to take it in and im jus goin crazy to ride it cheers

102 visits and no one can post a possible solution to my problem thought this was a good site?

The 01 Raptors transmissions were built with a nylon gear that is notorious for problems. You must break it down and rebuild it .Order the 02 gears.

Yes, if the tranny has never been updated you may need to replace it. Also, sounds silly but have you checked that the shifter is tight in the shift shaft? Are the splines worn out?
