Hi there
I may have an opportunity to purchase a Mammoth 800 from our site crew division here.
It is now surplus to needs.
I have had a quick look at it and a drive for a total of 20 feet forwards and 20 feet backwards
It has done 214 hrs across a number of sites and a number of users.
It blows a fair bit of smoke when cold and I did not get a chance to warm it up.
The driveline also feels strange but maybe I am just not used to the CVT.
What am I looking at to fix the smokiness issue. Just new rings? Tip some Wynns stop smoke into it?
I also here that most drive line issues ar a dodgy belt and that they are not to difficult to fix?
Anyone know where to direct me to a user manual please
Pete

Welcome to the forums.
Who makes Mammoth quads? My guess is that it's a Chinese knock-off of a major maker's quad. If it is I recommend avoiding it like the plague unless you're a really talented mechanic. Look in the Chinese quad section of the forum and you'll see the horror stories.

Thanks Guys
The brand is Kazuma. I believe the engine is a copy of a Suzuki 3 cyl , 800 cc .
I hear you about the Chinese stuff but my thought is , so long as you know what you are getting into with eyes wide open then no problem.
I find usually that there is just one or two dodgy engineering itmes in their equipment that can easily be overcome by effective preventative measures.

Remember, it's not cheap if you have to buy it over and over again...
