I need some help. I have an 08 outlaw 450 that just died when my cuz was riding and now it won't do anything. It will not even try to start and I have no light are anything . It will turn over if you cross over the cylinoide. I tied a key switch off my 07 outlaw 500 and nothing and I tied a kill/starter switch off the outlaw 500 and that don't work either. Their was two red with blue stripe wires going to the key switch that was bear so I replaced that section of the wiring harness I don't know were to look now can someone help

 

Don't know if this helps,but did you check spark at the plug before you started changing things around ??. Just turn the key on,jump the solenoid,and see if you have spark. OPT

 

No I didn't try that but I will

 

If I don't have a spark witch I bet I don't what do I need to look at then

 

Then it's best to get a manual to check out the resistance specs on the electrical components rather than just guess or throw parts at it!! You can try some easy things first such as pulling the plug cap and check the bare wire against the cylinder for spark(be careful!!) as most plug caps are resistor caps now and can short out. Plus check the wire itself back to the coil for any cuts,bare spots, plus check all electrical connections,etc. Could be as simple as a fouled plug? OPT

 

Well I found it, it was a broke wire back by the cylinoide thank you very much for your help
