Trying to add another brake light HELP

Default Trying to add another brake light HELP

So the brake light on my atv broke so i bought another light not particularly an brake light and was wondering if i can hook this up to the brakes wires that come from the brakes already on there here a pic of the light and setup for it

Yes it will work but remember, LED's are polarity sensitive.

what do you mean by polarity sensitive? and also if the wire to the led is red&black and the one on the original brake is red&green do that mean red to red and black to green?

left is the led and right is orginal brakes

Polarity correct = if you hook them up backwards they will ruin your setup they will blow

oh okay so does anyone know if brown and green is capable of taking red and black also does anyone know which one goes to which

just to clarify (now that I am at my computer and not replying from my cell) LED=Light Emitting Diod. Diods are polarity sensitive your directions from the light kit will tell you what is + and - on their lights. use a multimeter and test across the wires(you will need to pull the brake to test this to get power to the wires) if there is a - in front of the number (on a digital multimeter) then they are backwords change the wires on multimeter and wires and you will get a posative number and you will know which is the hot and what one is the ground then hook them up according to the directions of the light

okay thanks i figured it out quick green is ground and brown is hot

ya it work just wont turn on with brakes
