Default Polaris Phoenix makes odd noise (video)

Hello, I have a 2005 Polaris Phoenix that I just bought for my son. I didnt notice this noise until I got it home.

If you watch my youtube video, maybe you can help me determine if it's a bearing or a CV joint or something else.

Jerry

Did you feel any more resistance at one point in the revolution of the tire than at another point? If so, I would guess the drum is out of round. I think a worn bearing would make the sound the whole time the wheel/axle is spinning.

You can pop the oil seal, spray some PB Blaster or WD-40 inside and around the bearing and see if the creaking noise lessens or stops. If it does then you will know that the bearing is dry and worn. The other side(brake side) has two bearings that share the load, only one bearing on the right side and a long way for oil to travel. OPT

welcome to the forum. here is a parts break down of what your looking at.
http://parts.polarisind.com/Assemblies.asp
you might need to click on the rear axle link to view. if that is a bearing noise then the bearing is totally gone or destroying it self very fast. you might even want to take off the brake drum to make sure there isn't something between the shoes in the drum. either way i would guess it's right in the rear axle and not the cv area under the boot. just my
