Does your sportsman do this?

If I turn my key on but do not start the engine there is a weird noise that does not stop.

Does your sportsman 550 or 850 make weird noises with the engine off and the key on?

What is this noise?

Fuel pump noise? Pump can make noise,but should stop when it's primed up. OPT

I think you might be hearing the power steering doing it's thing...

I secound the power steering. Just move the handle bars and lisen.
