Default Main Jet

wandering what size main jet I need I live in Arkansas and the temps here is over 100. Does the clutch require adj in hot weather? I have a 1996 Xplorer 300

Stock155 main jet and 40 pilot jet should be fine from sea level to about 3000 feet unless you feel the machine is boggy because of the heat. In hotter temps machines do run a bit richer,colder temps a little leaner.You could always just lower the carb slide needle a couple positions(by raising the needle clip) to compensate a bit and see how it runs. If you still feel it's rich you could always drop the main one size or so (152.5 etc) and pray for rain like we're doing in Texas right now Clutch shouldn't give you any extra problems. OPT
