Castle Nut on 2005 TRV 500
#1
Hoping somebody can help me out. The castle nut on one of my front spindles keeps backing out and breaking off the cotter pin. This causes the wheel to cant and makes it hard to turn. The wheel just wobbles. I have replaced the bearing on that side since I thought it was bad and I have replaced the castle nut since the threads were stripped. Put it all back together and after 10 minutes of riding it is doing the same thing. Any suggestions on what the real problem is? Thank you

I had a similar issue on my 2003 TRV a while ago. I discovered that I had left the washer plate that goes under the castle nut off. the bearing would grab the nut and back it off. I repalced the washer (after finding it in the garage floor) and it stopped.
I would start by checking that.
