Default 2011 sportsman 500?

My gear display on the pod is not reading right. Park reverse and neutral are fine. But when I put it in low it reads neutral and high reads low? Anyone know what's wrong or of its something simple to fix? Not to worried about it other than I just know its not right and that bugs me. Thanks

Could possibly be the gear position switch on the gear case. OPT

What would I need to do? Replace or clean? Does it come off easy?

Just held on by a clip on the shaft. Don't know if cleaning would help, but give it a try and seal with electrical grease and see if it helps. It's just a rotary type switch than can just go out. OPT
