Default is this grizzly worth the money or should i buy a brute force 750

Hello all, Ive had a polaris sportsman 500 recently until about a month ago someone stole and smashed it up pretty bad. luckily I had insurence on it and i got some money out of the deal. So now im in the market for a new ride. Im torn between two right now. 2004 grizzly 660 with 1900 miles and 300 hours. new 27 " ITP rims and tires, hand guards and a 2000 lb winch. the other is a 2005 kawasaki brute force 750 that will need tires before the winter, and is bone stock with 720 miles. They want 3990 for the grizzly and 4490 for the brute force. Really not sure what I should do here and looking for some guidance...

Thats odd they weigh the same thing 604lbs vs 600lbs. 2005 Kawasaki Brute Force™ 750 4x4i ATVs

I ride a 660 all the time it sure feels lighter then my Sportsman 500 with more punch and top end but I quess the same goes with the Brute.

The Brute wins in HP but the Grizzly sure has won in suspension travel.

Here what 2004 660 Grizzly owner say http://www.atvreviewnetwork.com/enth...e.asp?veh=8234

And here is 2005 Brute owners. http://www.atvreviewnetwork.com/enth....asp?veh=13259

Sure sounds like the Brute has more troubles.

Never even seen a Brute or even a Kawaski Utility on the trails around here so cant say much about them.
My Best friend owns a 2003 Grizzly 660 that he bought from new and its never been in the shop once, one front twheel bearing and two battery changes is all that went wrong in 10 years. He even has the stock belt in it.

I have rode both but not a ton. If it was my choice I would go for the grizzly. I feel like the gizzly handles much better than the brute but the brute kills the grizzly in power. I have heard the brute does have several issues but that is just what I have heard, the ones I seen seemed fine.

Every Brute Force I see for sale around here includes the words "recently rebuilt".

It all depends on if you want power or reliability.
