Default 02 KVF650 quits after a minute

Hello all,

I just completely rebuilt an 02 kvf650, got it to run perfect on idle, but quits on me while riding it for few yards! I put it back in neutral or hold the brake lever and it starts right up.
Oh I have installed an aftermarket pump, since original one died.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Sounds like a fuel related issue. I'd make sure you have clean carbs and good supply to the carbs. Might want to try a new oem pump if those aren't the issue.

No not a fuel issue, here's an update:
Jacked the atv and run it through all gears (High, Low and Reverse) and the atv did not quit; put it down and rode it for few yards and it quits again.
Suspect the rollover sensor; mine was mounted with arrow UP like it supposed to be, but it wouldn't allow the atv to run, turned it upside down and the atv runs but still has this issue of quitting after few minutes.
Any suggestion on how to test or disassemble the sensor and put it back correctly.

Thanks.

I think your down sensor is position/installed correctly, arrow pointing up.
The ATV would not run several minutes if the sensor was bad or installed wrong...

The sensor was the issue, I ordered a used one from ebay and the ATV runs like a champ now (already sold it!).
Thanks.
