Just did my oil change, do I need to put a new nylon washer on the tank drain plug every oil change? The plug was a tad wet, and I have done two oil changes, never changed it.

no. if it's no damaged, just clean it and replace it. just don't overtighten it.

 

I seldom had to replace the washers unless the drain bolt had been cranked down like it was and axle nut. The plastic washers will last a long time as long as you just snug em up or torque to 14 foot pounds if you want to do what the manual suggests. OPT
