The green will show scrathes the least because it is a darker color. I think that you should get the red though. I think red looks awesome on quads green is just so.... plain. You know what Im saying? There both good though, get what looks best to you

I got a green one last week. The wife wanted red but I understand that they sell a lot more green ones and that might make it more desirable on the resale end. Plus most of the brochures feature green for some reason. Both will scratch like the dickens.

Go with the green one.The black plastic and the green seem to make the quad look tougher.

the red one will show less scratches because it is a lighter color , for instance go look at a black car and look at a white car . the black one will show more dirt and scratches . I owned a red recon and now own a green one and no matter what you do to clean it, it still looks like crap!

I vote for the RSE or DUSE Sportsman 500 H.O.
The camo finish that is bonded on the plastic is awesome. You cannot scratch it under any normal situation. Unless you are a die hard Honda man I would give these two a look. The price might scare you at $7500 retail.

hey blackmagic- Did this guy ask what he should buy? The topic starts off "getting my new Ruby tomorrow" not should I buy a Rubi? Go back to the Polaris forum if you can not offer any advice to help farmking make his decision.

That's odd Up2Sunf- I have the Rubicon brochure from 6/00 ( the Honda utility brocure does not feature the Rubicon) and there are 3 red Rubicons and 2 Green ones in it. I will agree that green seems to be the more popular color since hunters would not want red. My advice to you Farmking? Get whatever you like the best. The red will show scratches less, but neither will hide them well. The good news is that you can change the color by ordering the Ft. and Rr. Fenders and stickers for less than $150.00. So take home which ever color you want, ride the crap out of it and then replace the plastic before you sell it.

Farmking, I too live in IL. and am in the market for the Rubicon.
If you dont mind my asking, where did you end up buying and what was the out the door price?
BTW, I vote for the Green.
