Default Fuel pump- 2008 sportsman 500 ho efi

I need a new fuel pump. Can someone point me in the direction of which aftermarket pump is best?

Try Autozone, O'reilly.Airtex Master/Fuel Pump (E8197H) | AutoZone.com
They should be able to match it up.

Thanks opt. Are you saying this model will fit or I need to check with them?

I found a thread with part numbers for a replacement for an 800 efi. Do you think that pump would work on a 500 efi?

Probably would as the replacement fuel pump kit from Polaris (2204308 about $280 at Cheap Cycle Parts!!) http://www.cheapcycleparts.com/products/776207 shows to be used in the 500 and 800. You should be able to get an Airtex complete pump for way less.

Thanks again. The only issue I'm seeing is the pumps you listed doesn't look the same as the Oem pump. Will that make a difference?

These are just examples. Take your pump out and have em match it up. The two wire electrical connector might be different, but you could splice yours in. This is the one that I've seen in several posts as the pump repair kit that some have used. Price was about $79 http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...entifier=21930
Plus here's a link for Napa fuel pump kits that some have posted about using.http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Ca...118_0210119473
