2000 Polaris Trailblazer trouble!
#1
Hello everyone, Just wanting to get a few ideas/opinions from some of you guys here and this awesome forum. I have a 2000 Polaris Trailblazer, it has been sitting(not started) since last October 2012. It was running perfect before it got put up in storage. It had no more than a gallon of fuel, maybe even less than a half gallon in it the whole time it set. (I know I know, I should have put fuel-stabilizer in it) but I didnt. Ok so brought it home, tryed to fire it up and it wouldnt start, also noticed a foul, varnished gas smell while I was trying to pull start it a few times. I stopped trying to start it, drained the fuel tank completely, changed out the plug, threw some 93 premium in it, checked for spark, (Has Spark) checked oil, (GOOD), pulled off fuel line that comes from the Fuel **** and goes to the carb. I got fuel going thru the line and thru the fuel filter to carb. Still wont fire up, so i went and got starting fluid, took air filter off, sprayed it in air box, then tried to start it again, BINGO.. started...but as soon as it burned off the starting fluid in air box...it died...it will only start if i spray that in the carb but then dies. Soooo that tells me its not getting fuel. What is the EASY way of cleaning out the carb or how to tell if fuel is actually getting into and thru the carb to motor?
Thanks for the help in advance!

Carb bowl will probably look like a jelled mess. I'd get a carb kit (cheaper than just the float needle from the dealer) and If you don't have a carb dip,I'd use some good spray carb cleaner and an air gun to blow out all the orifices.http://www.ebay.com/itm/SHINDY-Carb-Kit-for-Polaris-250-Trail-Blazer-96-00-Free-Shipping-/290849508016?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item43b7fb4ab0&vxp=mtr Here's a couple videos on carb cleaning.
