ive just bought a klf 300 4x4 the other day the guy thinks its a 2002 2003 model and dont think he really knew , ive changed the oils engine and diffs plug and air filter , when im driving it when it gets into 3rd 4th gear it starts making a grinding noise only really when i build up speed, in 5th gear it seems fine same with 1st and 2end and the terrain doesnt matter wether its a hill or flat tarmac road , it will drive up steep inclines no problem and high and low work as they should to be honest im not sure what it is? ive also got another bike for spare parts , could someone shed some light on whats up with my bike ? could the clutch be needing adjusted how do you do this ? waiting on a haynes manaual coming in next week hopefully but id like to get to the bottom of this asap, any help would be great

Had several of those but don't recall any issues like that. My guess would be a bad spot in/on that gear which would require taking the tranny apart.
