Default main fuse blows

Just replaced the ignition switch, and now when I go to start it, it blows the main fuse. Sounds like the starter but never happened before. Its a 2010 sportsman 500ho.

Retrace your steps on the switch, checking wires under the h/l pod, plus check that all connection are tight, battery terminals starter wire, main frame ground and other grounds under the front panel. Plus I've had shorts in the fuse block itself from vibration. You can unbolt it from the mounting plate and check for any wires touching or bare spots underneath. See if you can just turn the key on and jump the solenoid wires to check if the starter works okay and cranks without blowing the fuse.
