Default 09 550xp idle air.

Anyone else have this problem before? I have a 09 550xp eps. bought it 2 months ago from dealer. 1900 miles.
Riding on my buddys property yesterday. I was working throttle pretty good up hill. Lost power like the key got turned off. Engine got power back then backfire. Service eng. light came on and just didn't run right. park it light went off. good to go. Happened 2 more times.
So I checked codes. came up 520193 idle air control.
Took side panel off. IAC had a bracket over it but was loose due to a screw missing that holds it tight against manifold. Replaced screw.
Went riding and no problem rest of day.
Anyone heard of this before?

Sure you're not talking about the bracket for the t map? I've had these work loose which allowed the sensor to flop around causing erratic running. Doesn't show the plate, but item #9 is the t map on the throttle body. Dirt Cheap Yamaha, Honda, Arctic Cat & Polaris OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse

You are probably correct Tech. It was after the TB and TPS. Wouldn't the IAC be before all that? There was two mounting holes on the sensor but only one threaded hole in the manifold for mounting. And the bracket. Is this same sensor used on other EFI models?
When I was in my twenties I worked as an auto tech. Little rusty on all the sensors after being out of the business for 15 years.
Thank you very much for the response Tech.

Same basic sensor that's used on the Sportsman 500 also. Reason I thought it was the t map was because I had several on the 500's lose the blame screw and the bracket too and had to end up keeping a couple in stock for this reason!!

I am going to order the correct screw for the sensor. I just through a screw in that my buddy had.
I was so happy that I could track down the problem.
So now anyone who reads this can put it in collective memory.
Again thank you so very much for the response. Chris

Just go down to your neighborhood hardware store. It's a metric screw, either 5 or 6mm. Take one off the IAC or some other place and see if it works and match it up..
