I was riding my 2003 Raptor 660R today and found that i could not down shift from 3rd. Goes into 4th but not back down. I got it back down by taping the case with a hammer a couple times. it also will not go into reverse. Reverse was working great prior to this problem. Anyone have any ideas?

 

Check the oil?

 

i just checked the oil. at cold it reads about an inch OVER the full line. could this be the issue. Im not familiar with how a dry sump oil system works...

 

NEW DEVELOPMENT - if i pull up slightly after shift down from fourth into third i hear a small click. then press full down and it will shift into second. any ideas?
