Polaris sportsman 500 not engaging

Polaris sportsman 500 not engaging
Hello,
I got an Polaris sportsman 500 which when I was riding, it was acting like in any gear that it was in neutral. It starts and runs, the tranny is working, but it won't engage into any gear but neutral and park. Where would I start looking?

Left hand side plastic cover has to be removed. Depending on your model you can download a free pdf manual here to help you.
