Default 2013 300 Grizzly Range

Just bought my first Four Wheeler the other night. Where I live you can ride it on the street so it will likely be my ride to work weather permitting since my truck gets only 16MPG. I was wondering what I should expect from this fourwheeler. I cant find anyone else with this question online so I thought id ask here. Maybe someone can enlighten me. Thanks!

I don't know what you'll get and at least yours is smaller but none of them are great on gas.. Also welcome to the site.

Thanks for the welcome! I figure the auto transmission isnt going to help the mileage any but I know it will do better then the 16 my truck gets! Hah

I have the 550 grizzly and really don't think that I do any better than 16 mpg. Maybe slightly better, but not worth the difference I would spend putting tires on it from riding on the pavement!! I ride about 40 miles at a shot and it takes better than 2 gallons to fill up! I am trail riding though!

Ah, What kind of tires would be best for street and off road? I figure ill ride it on the street most of the time, off road some though. I know these tires arent the best. Just something to look into down the road. If the weather is clear ill ride about 12 miles a day on pavement.

Can't help you on what tires would be best for road use...I can tell you that ITP Mudlites are not the best! If I rode 12 miles a day on the road I wouldn't expect my tires that I currently use to last more than a few months! At 400/change you don't want to put new tires on too often!

I found most ATVs I had get about 20 mpg. My 350 Grizzly has a 3.8 gal tank and gets 70 miles before reserve.
My 500 has a larger 5.25 tank and will go 100 miles.
Your smaller lighter 2wd 300 has a 2.8 tank it should get 60 miles.

I,m talking trail speeds of 30 mph or less ,once you start riding at higher speeds on roads you gas mileages sure changes to the worst.

The speed limit is usually around 25, and I dont go too fast. Theres no speedometer on my fourwheeler but I know Im not going too awfully fast.

Who cares? I would ride my ATV to work everyday if I could even if it only got 1 lousy mile per gallon lol! I have tried to legalize 2 ATV's in NC with no success.
