hi im new to here but i have a 2000 honda trx300ex and i replaced the gasket on the right side of my quad (the side with the clutch spine and clutch basket) and when i put it back together my clutch didnt work and i have no clue on how to fix it plz help me.

 

There is a lever in the top of the side case the clutch cable hooks to. Its been years since I worked on a 300 ex. IIRC the lever is connected to a shaft with spring around it that engages the clutch. Providing you did not mess with the clutch I would look at the shaft and spring. I think the proper term for the part is lifter arm?

 

So its the spring that engages the clutch? And I never touched the clutch basket it anything. I replaced the gasket and it hasn't worked scince.
