Default 3 newbie questions about the 325

1. Where is the best place to buy a manual.

2. What is the best oil.

3. Does it have a filter.

Sorry for the stupid questions but I have a Grizzly and an Arctic Cat and the Polaris is different from the starter button on. Not much marked on mine.

I'm not even sure the 4wd is working because it doesn't make noise when I turn the switch on the right bar to ON...and I'm not even sure that's the 4wd control....

so I guess I'd better get a manual.

Which model is it?

Ebay is where I got mine. I'd recommend a factory service manual over a brand like chiltons.

Oil is a pretty subjective thing. Use what brand you like and are comfortable with as long as it meets the specs set by Polaris.

Depending on whether it's a 2 stroke of 4 stroke, it may or may not have an oil filter. And also what type of oil you'd use for the reservoir or premix.

Ok, that's a four stroke and it will have an oil filter. Could be either 2 or 4 wheel drive.

Do you know the year, or have the 10th digit from the vin number?

I haven't looked for the VIN yet and guess I'd better. When I got it I had some electrical issues and posted here (Great site BTW) One turned out not to be an issue at all, I just didn't know the kill switch was also the starter button.

The others, Old Tech resolved.

It is 4wd according to the previous owner, but he doesn't have a manual and I didn't think to ask the year.

I'll find the VIN today and then go get a filter for it.

It runs great now, but I have no idea when the oil was changed last so I want to do it before I give it a serious workout.
